Lee Toffey - Town Council Candidate

|   | Ms. Lee Toffey works for the State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security. As such, she is a member of the Coordinating Council, a State and Federal multi-agency, multi-discipline cooperative
effort whose focus is the safety and security of the citizens of Connecticut. Lee has also been a member of the Interoperable Communications Committee, the Child Safety & Crisis Response Committee, the Aviation/Transportation Security Committee, and works in the State
Emergency Operations Center during activations for natural or man-made disasters. Lee was previously a 911 dispatcher for the Town of Watertown and the State Police.
Lee is active with the Oakville VFW serving as the Senior Vice-President for the Women’s Auxiliary, and
is the Chairman of the Plainville Republican Town Committee. She has done volunteer work for Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity.
Lee believes that Plainville needs a robust effort to bring businesses into the town to help offset the tax burden on its citizens. She
also believes that the next budget will need to be carefully constructed to lessen the inevitable impact that the state shortfalls will cause, while still maintaining services to the town and school system. |
